One of our team mates was videoing this ending too, she got it from the side so you can see them crash into the table right on the clock ticking 0 like a finish line photo. I will get her to upload it and reply here later.

Here's my perspective on the same action from the entry doors.
Who was that final team?

awesome! we should get all the angles together somehow and cut something out of them because it was a truly epic moment!

Could be interesting as a split-screen setup like Figgis' Timecode.

yeah! people were chanting a bit out of sync with the clock and actually i'm pretty sure the cut off point is the doors rather than the table.

The rule has been in the past that if you're in the door and running as the count hits zero you're gold. If you get in then dawdle down the path after the count is finished then I think you'd be out.

Gutted not to have been caught in any of these vids, got in with ~2 minutes to spare. But I swear to god when I ran up I thought the doors would already be closed. Lesson learned: Always make sure your clock is fast, god damn we got across the city fast.

AT 2.30 in your clip Dylan, a guy comes in the hallway top left frame. (obscured but visible). Did not make the door.
He collapses on the floor late...in absolute despair, exhaustion and dissapointment.
A blonde lady still photographer captured this desperate moment perfectly in a series of shots.
What a heart breaking moment for the guy and an iconic moment for the event. I really felt for him.
Would love to see the photos though.

Awesome commitment!
The Christchurch finish venue had some giant, epic double doors this year. Closing them felt like closing the Echo Base shield doors on the lost Luke and Han in The Empire Strikes Back.

i'm pretty sure the cut off point is the doors rather than the table.
Here in CHCH you had to slap it down on the table to be safe.

I was watching him - I also walked past him on my way out a couple of minutes later. The sadness was palpable.
