I think in previous years you would get a call to tell you that you were disqualified on the Monday after 48hrs.....but that's more for technical issues. I think disqualification based on failure to follow guidelines happens after heats? I remember being able to vote for a few films last year that were missing compulsory elements.
....But don't quote me on that.

You'll know if you're disqualified because your city manager will ring you to mock you :)
Seriously, I doubt that an oversized v48hours credit would disqualify you. A completely missing credit? - maybe. But then it's not up to me...

Assume all is a-ok, unless you receive a call from your City Manager sometime this week.
I doubt you would be disqualified for something as minor as this.

Likewise, I'm not manager or authority,
but as long as it's pretty clear that your credit was supposed to say the V48HOURS 2012 thing,
I don't think they're going to DQ you on it being not 100% perfect.
I agree with clang in that it'd be more likely if it was completely missing.

This is how it tends to go when there are lots of films. It's just impossible to go through hundreds of films with a fine-tooth comb before the heats.
Technical issues are identified before the heats (usually).
Elements etc tend to be identified by the judges either at the heats or in judging.
Basically, unless your city manager tells you otherwise, assume you're A-OK.

I would expect James to be fine, and you to be DQd.
But I'm probably being unreasonable. I feel like this rule is stated so clearly that there's really no excuse for missing it out entirely. But sometimes the organisers are pretty relaxed about the more minor requirements.

Nah, all good.
You're in, a minor text malfunction and under/over scale rendering.

Now that Jameseywebshow is sorted, can someone tell me if there was meant to be a section on the Online Wrap-up Form where you tick a box to confirm that you have all the release forms? I remember it from previous years, but because of lack sleep, I don't remember ticking a box yesterday.
BTW I do have all the necessary release forms.

I do not recall a tick box for release forms.
I am curious when they are required.
Do you have to turn them in if you're a city finalist,
or only if you're a national finalist
or only if you win the whole shebang or what?

Rule #4 from
http://www.v48hours.co.nz/2012/register/?ss=rules
Your Short film MUST include the Final closing credit:
"This film was made as part of V48HOURS 2012 "
MUST means just that.

I don't think so. You had it but it wasn't perfect, I think that'll slide, the person in trouble is the one that omitted it entirely.
