24 Hour Movie Marathon
Long may retro 35mm screenings continue at this incredible event for many a year to come (I am aghast at the reality of no more prints for new release films)

I heard a rumour that everything was going to be 35mm, in focus, cropped correctly and play in the right reel order.
Or not. :)
If there were no technical hitches, then surely the lizard people have taken over.
All hail our new reptilian over lords!
So what's everybody been watching in preparation?
I've recently watched:
THE DRIVER
FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED
THIS ISLAND EARTH
DRIVE
THE THING (2011)
Well its usually trailers on the heads that cause the wrong aperture plates to be left in! Or a projectionist who thinks its on auto rotate at Event cinemas.. however this year cookie adamant no plate issues. Wrong order of reels?.. well you can't win em all.
Luckily, anything I can recall being out of order reels was kind of appropriately grindhouse-esq.
That clue list - omg - I want to watch/rewatch everything on it!
@steelpotato
My have-watched list for October to know runs thus:
rec2
Heavy Metal (1981)
chariots of the gods
Starman
amazing screw on head (pilot)
Amazing Spider-Man (1977)
RIO
lifeforce
sum of all fears
6 Days till Air
horror express
Lemmy
Knight Rider 2000
Knight Rider pilot
Mimic
Catfish
village of the damned - John Carpenter
bulletproof salesman
TENTACLES (1977)
RIO was niece's choice. Knight Rider 2000 was kind of mind blowing, it is like someone decided to redo ROBOCOP, but with cheaper actors, a PG rating and a talking car squeezed in.
In preperation:
STREETS OF FIRE
LADY TERMINATOR
STRIDULUM
GODZILLA REVENGE
KRULL
EVILS OF THE NIGHT
THE BLACK GESTAPO
THE DESCENT
THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE
FANGS
Might still have time to have another look at CRANK, MIRACLE MILE or THE LOVER BUTCHER prior to Saturday next.
Probably not SPOOKED. though... I seriously think that movie has dropped off the face of the earth.
SPOOKED played on TV3 at some point.
Yeah, but try finding it in a video store....
I have it on DVD :)
ONE WEEK TO GO!!! :)
Yeah, but try finding it in a video store....

Great, does that mean I have to watch it again?
Only if you're feeling masochistic...
I do somehow own the first 5 SAW movies. 'Nuff said?
5 sleeps to go. CRANK is still stupidly fun. THE LOVE BUTCHER as a one-man midnight screening tonight? Tempting...
MR MIKES MONDO VIDEO still holds up, even with the multiple cuts made to get it clear for DVD release.
Now I really want to read the scripts the Mr Mike wrote but did not get produced, including a killer cockroach movie in a 50's style and something called SATURDAY MATINEE with Chevy Chase, which was supposed to have fake news trailers, a cartoon short and a feature called PLANET OF THE CHEAP SPECIAL EFFECTS.
Well, here are some wild guesses as to what clue points to what in the Marathon

10.I spit on your grave
Genre classic that had a recent regretable remake? THUNDERBIRDS, THE THING and THE MECHANIC have played previously, so I am going with PROM NIGHT

HEAVY METAL
12.fritz the cat
