No one seems to be reviewing Saturdays films. Hey while you are waiting Mononoki why don't you write some reviews of what you saw in Heat 15?

As always the last heat isn't counted until today. Sorry about that. Or if you are truthspermum we are changing all the ballots and hiding them in Area 51.

Everyone likes a fair go though if they screw with audience favourites what else are they doing! I agree it's utterly embarassing pathetic nonsense. Then again I am just trolling and being a dick. ha ha

Hey Ant,

I am one of the team from Huapai Five-O and I am new to this film buffs boys club that is V48 Hours. But I thought an audience vote would be where teams who aren't necessarily as polished had a chance for some recognition?

The only people on the reviews online, in the forums are the really passionate ones who live and breath they are a very small % of the people who attend the filming. It is a shame that you as the organiser can't be honest with everyone and explain what happened.

Whether Pete's mediocre film came third or not is irrelevant. I won't go on about it, I just feel from being there and hearing the audience reactions to each film there were a number of others that got a much better response including ours. I voted for Ourselves (as all do), Half Shell productions & iBeard as these were the most entertaining.

I know this is just audience votes and there is much more important business to worry about, however I feel you as the founder and organiser of V48 have let down all the amateurs that enter this competition.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Buhagiar

This is taking time away from other teams heats so that's it full stop it happened move on, they will never release the votes for heat nine which would clear it all up so it could go in roundabouts forever.
Good luck to all the teams

Dear Michael,

The audience vote is the AUDIENCE voting.

Preferential treatment is not given to either 'pro' teams or 'newbie' teams.

Ant is probably regretting putting to "controversial to be released" up on the results page right about now, never had a good explanation why that was up there, (sorry last post hadn't seen that guys one) good luck to remaining teams!

in reply to Michael Buhagiar:

Hi Michael,

Not so sure how I've let anyone down. There was no controversy, it was a joke I made on Facebook (ps don't believe everything you read on FB there is lots of silly stuff on there) that I guess for those who don't know my sense of humour was probably a mistake to do. We've actually been very onto it (thx Morgan. Frances) in counting this year.. usually it was done a day or two later. You see I actually like going to sleep after working 20 days in a row from 5am til 2am.

The passionate ones are the reason 48 exists as it does but thanks for wiping them all with your tainted brush. Are you suggesting that we should ignore the audience voting and just give every team an award for entering? Okay - bingo - you just won a Special Achievement Award. Has the pain of not winning an Audience Award lessened? Do you want me to post all the numbers of the heats so teams can see they got 4 votes? Would that encourage the new teams?

I suggest you meet with Truthserum and have a good ol chinwag. He seems to know an inside man and a thing or two.

Sincerely
Ant

I think we need to instigate a big, shiny 'participation' award for everyone that takes part. It might help to alleviate the sense of entitlement I'm detecting from a few people here.
